Creativity and imagination are at the heart of why London is a leading global city where business, education and culture can flourish. To remain a great world city, we need to keep the best ideas flowing. That’s why I’m backing the Imagination Matters campaign, it will fire up the imaginations of the next generation and help keep London at the top of its game.
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

What [Imagination Matters is] doing is exactly what I feel we all need in this world!
Dance is a medium of expression, a physical representation of emotion. As a professional dancer it is essential to put yourself into the shoes of others, to empathise with a feeling or an emotion, in order to connect truthfully with an audience.
Imagination plays an integral part in understanding how others might think and feel and how to convey that feeling through movement. By truly trying to empathise with others and imagining not only how they might feel but also how our actions and movements might make them feel, we can strive to be the best of ourselves and help many. Imagination Matters highlights what a crucial skill imagination is and I look forward to supporting this campaign.
Dame Darcey Bussell
"If I were a Good Fairy at Sleeping Beauty's christening I'd bestow on her a vivid imagination. I think it's so important to nurture every child's imagination. It increases their empathy and emotional understanding, is vital for their creativity and staves off boredom!"
Dame Jaqueline Wilson
Imagination is the source of every form of human achievement and is what sets us apart from the rest of life on earth.
